Hello again,
I want to start by apologizing for canceling classes this past week and for not being able to teach for at least another week. My 12-year-old son had to have emergency open-heart surgery on Wednesday, and we’ve been at the amazing Boston Children’s Hospital since his diagnosis on Monday. He has been incredibly brave and strong despite how scary and challenging the entire situation has been. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with support, it means the world to us as we navigate this complex situation.
As of now, the plan is to start classes on Tuesday, September 2nd, unless you hear something different from me.
It’s been so heartwarming to hear from so many of you since my big announcement. Thank you for your kind messages, your enthusiasm, and for sharing in this dream with me. I truly can’t wait to welcome you to my new teaching home at The Yoga Barn.
And now... it’s time for all the details!
Opening Day
The Yoga Barn will open its doors for classes starting Tuesday, September 2nd.
It’s a cozy, intentionally small space where I’ll be teaching all the classes (small group, private sessions, and yoga therapy) right here on my property in Sharon, MA.
Rather than a large schedule filled with multiple teachers, this space is deeply personal with me teaching all of the classes.
What Makes The Yoga Barn Unique
Personalized, Accessible Yoga: Whether you’ve been practicing for years or are just beginning, this is a space where we work together to make yoga accessible and supportive for your unique body and needs. You don’t have to change yourself to fit the practice; we work together to shape the practice to fit you.
Small Class Sizes: Each class will be limited to 10 students max, so advance registration is essential. This helps ensure everyone has space and support. If a class fills, you’ll be added to a waitlist and notified if a spot opens up. Please check out the schedule and sign up for classes here: Classes
Communication is Key: Because it’s just me teaching, it’s extra important that you sign up ahead of time. If I ever need to cancel a class due to illness or unexpected events, I’ll notify registered students via email. If you’re not signed up, you won’t receive these updates, so please sign in! I know this may be an adjustment for some of you, but I'm here to help. Please reach out with any questions.
Location & Parking: The Yoga Barn is located on my residential property in Sharon, MA. On the website, you’ll find detailed directions, plus parking and entry instructions to make your arrival easy. It might take a little getting used to at first, but we’ll figure it out together. Visit the site here for details: Location
Class & Membership OptionsThere are a variety of ways you can practice with me based on your preferences and needs. You can find full details and register on the website here: Pricing
You’ll be able to sign up for classes via the website or through the app. To find details on downloading the app or signing up for classes, please read the FAQ page found here: FAQs. If you need help navigating either option, just reach out, I’m happy to walk you through it!
A Little Gift for the First Week
If you come to class between September 2–7, you’ll receive a special gift as my thank you for being part of this new beginning. I can't wait to share it with you!
What to Expect at the Studio
There is a bathroom on site.
All props are provided, but feel free to bring your own mat or anything else that makes your practice more comfortable.
There is a water cooler available for you to refill your water as needed.
I am still working on the landscaping outside the barn. The inside is beautiful and ready for you, the outside still needs some extra time! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you have any questions, feedback, or just want to say hi, email me anytime at heidi@heidikassneryoga.com. This is a new chapter for all of us, and I appreciate your patience, curiosity, and support as we grow into it together.
Thank you for your trust, your energy, and your presence in this community. I’m so grateful to walk this path with you and can’t wait to see you on the mat at The Yoga Barn.
