SUP Yoga: Float Your Practice

Take your yoga practice to the water with SUP Yoga: Float Your Practice, a unique and playful experience that combines yoga, balance, and the serenity of nature on a stand-up paddleboard. Perfect for all levels—whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to both yoga and paddleboarding—this class invites you to relax, strengthen, and connect with the outdoors.

The session begins onshore with a brief paddleboarding tutorial, including kneeling and standing basics, stroke techniques, and tips for staying confident if you take a splash (it happens, and it’s all part of the fun!). Then, paddle out to a peaceful spot, drop an anchor, and flow through yoga sequences designed to awaken your core, improve balance, and calm your mind. Enjoy a playful exploration of poses, test your skills, and wind down with a tranquil floating savasana before paddling back to shore.

  • Location: Memorial Park Beach, Sharon, MA (meet at the far right end, opposite the boat launch).

  • Time: 90-minute class. Please arrive up to 15 minutes before class to setup equipment.

  • Skill Level: No prior experience needed, but participants must be able to swim.

  • Cost:

    • $35: If you bring your own equipment (stand-up paddleboard, paddle, and life preserver).

    • $55: Includes a full rental package (paddleboard, paddle, and life preserver provided at the lake).

What to Know: Check your email within 12 hours of class for updates on weather-related cancellations. In the event of adverse conditions, registrants may reschedule or receive a full refund. If a class lasts less than 30 minutes (due to weather conditions or safety), you will be refunded.

Sharon, MA Recreation Department - Outdoors Overlooking Lake Massapoag

This class is designed for students of all levels. In Flow Yoga, you are guided through postures in a Vinyasa style, beginning with the basic poses but allowing for more challenging poses based on your practice level and desires. You will focus on linking conscious breath with mindful movement. In Yoga Flow, you will awaken your strength, energy, concentration, and flexibility while calming the mind. This is a great class for students who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace, yet still have the option to take it to the next level. 

Summer 2025: 6/27 - 8/22 (there will be NO class on 7/4 and 8/1)

Fall 1 2025: 9/5 - 10/31 (no class 10/17)

Fall 2 2025: 11/7 - 12/19 (no class 11/28)

**Please note - classes are in the Ballroom if weather is poor or under 50 degrees by 9:30AM**​
