  • Do I have to sign up for class in advance?

  • What time should I arrive to class? What if I'm running late or need to leave early?
The doors open 15 minutes before class. Please arrive early to park, gather props, and settle in. If you're running late, the door will remain open, but please enter mindfully to avoid disturbing the class. If you need to leave early, please do so before Savasana to avoid disturbing others. We encourage a moment of rest before leaving to ensure you experience the full benefit of the class.
  • What should I bring to class?
We provide props such as blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters, and some community mats are available if you forget yours. If you have your own mat or preferred props, please bring them along. If you borrow props, please spray and wipe them before returning them to storage. Store your personal belongings and shoes in the provided storage. • What is the studio space like?
The Yoga Barn is a cozy, intentionally small space where I’ll teach all classes. It’s a deeply personal, community-centered yoga space grounded in the idea that yoga should meet you where you are. It’s not a typical studio with multiple teachers; it’s just me, in a space I’ve dreamed about for years.
  • What makes The Yoga Barn unique?
The Yoga Barn is special because it’s an intimate, community-centered space where I’m the only teacher, allowing me to provide highly personalized attention to each student. The class sizes are small (maximum 10 students), so you can expect lots of individual support, guidance, and connection. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, my teaching is tailored to meet your unique body and needs. The Yoga Barn is all about building a supportive community where yoga is accessible and meaningful for everyone.
  • Is this hot yoga?
No, we do not offer hot yoga. The room temperature is set to a comfortable, slightly warm room temperature of 70-75°F year-round, though there may be slight fluctuations.
  • How do I know if a class is suitable for me?
Most of our classes cater to various experience levels. We follow a philosophy of “your body, your choice,” allowing students to modify postures as needed. For more details on the styles we teach, click here for class descriptions. Most of our classes do require students to get up and down from the floor.
  • Can I bring my child to class?
Our public classes are designed for students aged 16 and older. While we occasionally offer specific workshops for children, regular classes are not intended for younger participants.
